Magnetic levitation oil-free variable frequency centrifugal compressor+built-in evaporative condenser+falling film evaporator+integrated free natural cooling system belongs to an integrated cold source, without the need for external cooling towers or cooling water pipe networks. The whole machine
Pry and install from the factory, only connect chilled water and power to operate.
2、 Working principle
2.1 Main refrigeration cycle
1. The refrigerant inside the evaporator absorbs the heat of the chilled water to prepare 7 ℃ air conditioning cold water;
2. The magnetic levitation compressor compresses the refrigerant at high speed without friction as a high-temperature and high-pressure gas;
3. The built-in evaporative cooling coil evaporates and dissipates heat through sprayed water, causing the refrigerant to liquefy;
4. The electronic expansion valve is throttled and depressurized, returning to the evaporator to complete the cycle.
2.2 Principle of evaporation condensation heat dissipation
By relying on latent heat of water evaporation for heat dissipation, the fan is forced to ventilate and the water film on the coil surface evaporates, resulting in a condensation temperature close to the outdoor wet bulb temperature and a much higher heat transfer efficiency than air-cooled units; Comes with a water collection tank, spray pump, and water stopper
The loss of floating water is much smaller than that of traditional open cooling towers.
2.3. Free cooking natural cooling (core value-added)
When the outdoor temperature is low during the autumn winter transition season, the compressor completely shuts down and relies solely on outdoor air and spray water to directly cool the chilled water, achieving zero compressor power consumption and free cooling, significantly reducing PUE in data centers.
3、 Core advantages and disadvantages
Advantage
1. Extremely high energy efficiency, oil-free heat exchange, oil-free film thermal resistance, full load COP can reach 5.4 or above, IPLV can reach 7.0-11.0, and year-round partial load can save 35% to 50% electricity compared to evaporative cooling screw machines.
2. Maintain a minimalist magnetic levitation oil-free structure, with no need to replace lubricating oil or oil filters for life, and zero maintenance costs for the oil circuit; There are fewer integrated pipelines and fewer leakage points.
3. Compared with traditional water-cooled cooling tower systems, it significantly saves 40% to 60% of water, meeting the WUE water-saving assessment of IDC data centers.
4. Easy installation, small footprint, no need for cooling tower foundation, no need for cooling water main pipeline, roof/machine room placement, short construction period.
5. Grid friendly variable frequency soft start, with a starting current of only about 2A, has minimal impact on the distribution system.
Disadvantages
1. The initial procurement cost of the equipment is high, and it is 40%~80% more expensive than evaporative cooling screw machines with the same cooling capacity;
2. Magnetic levitation bearings and high-frequency drive boards are precision components, and the maintenance costs of original spare parts are relatively high in the later stage;
3. If the annual operating hours are less than 3000 hours (only for short-term air conditioning in summer), the investment payback period is too long, and it is not recommended to use it;
Under extreme high temperature and humidity conditions in southern China during summer, the condensation limit is slightly lower than that of external large cooling tower water-cooled maglev units.
4、 Comparison table with units of the same type
Does the unit type require cooling tower water consumption? Initial investment, operation, electricity cost, annual maintenance fee. Best applicable scenario
Evaporative cooling maglev does not require extremely high and low IDC rooms, 24-hour continuous process cooling, water scarce areas, and tight room space
Water cooled maglev must be equipped with a large number of external high and low areas, sufficient space, unlimited water usage, and large area cooling
Air cooled magnetic levitation does not require zero, medium, high, or extremely low unconditional waterway or small volume year-round cooling
5、 Applicable scenarios
Recommended for use
1. Data centers and computing power rooms (reducing PUE and meeting water conservation needs);
2. Cold water for pharmaceutical cleanrooms, semiconductors, and laboratory constant temperature processes;
3. Hospitals, subways, large complexes, transportation hubs (with large load fluctuations and year-round operation);
4. Public construction projects in water scarce areas and with dual control assessment of energy consumption.
Not recommended
Small shops, summer only office buildings, and intermittent air conditioning projects with short annual operating times.
6、 Key points for selection in southern regions
1. During the high temperature and high humidity rainy season, the wet bulb temperature is relatively high, and the cooling capacity needs to be adjusted with a margin of 5% to 8%;
2. Sprinkler water must be equipped with an electronic water treatment device to prevent scaling and blockage of the coil;
3. Install electric heating and exhaust valves in winter to avoid freezing and cracking of shutdown coils;
4. Prioritize the use of R134a and R1234ze low GWP environmentally friendly refrigerants to meet low-carbon policies.
Precautions for Unit Use
Installation precautions
1. When lifting, positioning, and installing the unit, safety must be taken into account to prevent collisions and ensure the integrity of the equipment.
2. If the unit is installed outdoors, efforts should be made to avoid exposure to wind and rain (except for rainproof types), direct sunlight, or other heat sources that directly radiate; The computer room environment must be kept dry, clean, and ensure good ventilation, leaving space for unit maintenance and upkeep.
3. For air-cooled units, please ensure that there are no obstructions around the unit and reserve 1 meter of space; There is no obstruction within 2 meters of the top of the unit to ensure good ventilation.
4. It is recommended to install the unit on a strong and level ground, and install shock-absorbing rubber pads under the unit chassis to correct the level of the unit. If there are anchor bolts, they must be installed and fixed.
5. The circulating water pump used in conjunction with the unit should be selected and installed according to the data requirements such as water flow rate and water resistance required by the unit.
6. The water pump must be installed in front of the inlet of the unit, and it is recommended to install a filter at the inlet of the water pump to prevent foreign objects from entering the heat exchanger of the unit; If the unit is installed in areas with poor water quality, water treatment must be carried out first to avoid damage to the heat exchanger.
7. It is recommended to install valves, water pressure gauges, thermometers, water flow switches, and other equipment for the water pipeline system connecting the unit, in order to facilitate the inspection and maintenance of the unit's daily operation.
8. To prevent air from being trapped in the water system, the air must be completely discharged before starting the compressor.
9. The chilled water pipeline must be insulated properly to avoid loss of cooling capacity, condensation, and freezing.
10. The weight of the system connection pipeline shall not be borne by the machine body. Rubber shock-absorbing flexible joints and gate valves shall be installed at the inlet and outlet of the unit to avoid vibration and facilitate maintenance.
11.When configuring wires for the unit, wires with slightly larger cross-sections (with margin) should be selected according to the power consumption, and reliable electronic control components and grounding power sources should be installed to prevent accidents such as overload and leakage.
12. As the unit is equipped with reverse phase and phase loss protection, attention must be paid to whether the line phase is correct during wiring installation. The unit cannot operate normally when the phase is misconnected or missing.
13. The operator of the unit must observe the operation status of the unit at all times. Once any abnormal situation is found, please promptly troubleshoot. Forced operation will inevitably cause damage to the unit.
Precautions for operation:
1. Before starting up, check whether all water outlets and pipelines of the unit have been correctly installed and connected.
2. Before starting up, check if the power supply of the unit is connected and if the phase sequence is correct.
3. Before starting up, ensure the safety of the power and water sources. Please carefully refer to the equipment operation manual and strictly follow the instructions for use and operation.
Maintenance precautions:
1. Regularly replace the water in the water tank (it is recommended to replace it every 2 months).
2. Regularly clean the radiator of the unit. For air-cooled units, it is recommended to clean the radiator every 3 months; It is recommended to clean the shell and tube condenser and cooling tower of water-cooled units every 6 months (if the usage environment or water quality is poor, it is recommended to shorten the cleaning cycle).
3. If the unit is not used for a long time, please turn off the main power supply; When the ambient temperature is below 0 ℃ and the unit is shut down for more than 6 hours, the unit and pipelines may freeze, and the damage caused by this is not covered by the warranty.
The best way to avoid pipeline freezing is to completely drain all the water in the unit system!
4. Regularly check the water quality on site to ensure that the water source is qualified (pH ≈ 7). If it contains corrosive substances and causes damage to the unit, it is not covered by the warranty.
5. When the unit encounters unavoidable faults during use, please inform our company of the unit model, component name, and other information so that we can provide you with services more quickly.
6. During the warranty period, our company promises to provide free maintenance services for the unit (excluding human damage, improper use, natural disasters, and uncontrollable factors).
